Matthew S. Jones
A native of central Texas, Mr. Jones graduated with honors in 1994 from Texas Lutheran University with degrees in English and Philosophy. He received his law degree from The University of Texas in 1997 and was licensed to practice law in Texas that same year. Mr. Jones was also licensed to practice law in Illinois in 2004.
Mr. Jones began his practice in San Antonio in 1997, where he focused on real estate and commercial transactions and litigation. In 2002 he moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he opened a consulting and legal practice assisting business owners in transactional and operational practices, as well as estate and succession planning. From 2007 to 2010 Mr. Jones was General Counsel and Director of Human Resources for a large construction company located near Washington, D.C. He joined Slater, Kennon & Pugh Ltd.LLP in 2010, where he focuses on commercial transactions and litigation, real estate law, collections, and estate and probate matters.
Mr. Jones practices in state courts and is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Illinois State Bar Association, the San Antonio Bar Association, and the ELCA Attorney Association.
